Lake Eugenia

We depart on this round-trip paddle from the boat launch on the south end of the lake.

We’ll describe where you float on the Beaver River watershed and prepare to be surprised by the fascinating history of this man made lake and the village of Eugenia, including: the Eugenia gold rush, early power plays, the haunting of Eugenia Falls and how Eugenia got its name.

Lake Eugenia is a great inland paddling destination and an important stopover for migrating birds in the area, come circumnavigate the pocket of wilderness preserved on the island in the middle of this lake on our 1.5 hour tour and, if you’re keen for the 2.5 hour experience, add a trip under the causeway to explore the upper reaches of the Beaver River.

We’ll spend a maximum 40 minutes in the boat at a time with opportunities to explore some of these wild places on foot.
